The position is responsible for inspecting drainage systems and drainage projects, coordinating and communicating with contractors, engineers, attorneys, County staff, and the Ditch Authority. The incumbent will have contact with the public to resolve issues and participate in professional staff development. All job functions and responsibilties will be performed on an as needed basis with hours varying seasonally as the need arises. This position will be filled and supervised by the Freeborn County Administrator as authorized by the Freeborn County Ditch Authority. The initial contract will commence on February 1, 2020 and will end on June 30, 2020 to be compensated at $15,000.00.Thereafter, the contract with be annually from July 1 thru June 30 with an annual compensation of $35,000.
