County Organization

Freeborn County is governed by a five member Board of Commissioners elected to four year terms from districts.

The County employs a staff of approximately 270.  The departments include Administration, Assessor, Attorney, Auditor-Treasurer, Building Maintenance, Court Services, Department of Human Services, Environmental Services,  License Center, Public Health, Recorder, Road & Bridge, Sheriff and Veteran Services.
