Ashton Michelle Larson entered an Alford Plea of guilty to three separate counts of Disorderly Conduct by a Caregiver – Vulnerable Adult on October 14, 2010.  The three guilty pleas account for three separate victims who were residents of Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Albert Lea in 2008.

 

Minnesota State Statute 609.72, Subd. 3, states,

 

The Defendant, as a Caregiver as defined by Minnesota Statutes 609.323, did knowing or having reasonable grounds to know that it would tend reasonably to alarm, anger or cause resentment in others on or between January 1, 2008 and May 1, 2008 in Freeborn County, Minnesota, did in a public or private place engage in offensive, obscene or abusive conduct or offensive, obscene or abusive language directed against a Vulnerable Adult as defined by Minnesota Statutes 609.232.

 

Defense Attorney Evan Larson represented Ms. Larson.  Judge Steven Schwab accepted the guilty pleas.

 

Sentencing is scheduled for December 22, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. in Freeborn County District Court
