Breastfeeding is a special experience shared by you and your baby. This one-session class, designed for both the pregnant mother and her support person, provides important information and support for successful breastfeeding. Sue Yost, RN/PHN, a Certified Lactation Educator, will provide prenatal breastfeeding education.

how to identify and handle problems of breastfeeding

how to know when to call for breastfeeding consultation
We recommend you take this class between 30-38 weeks of pregnancy.
Daytime classes are held at the Freeborn County Government Center, 411 South Broadway Ave, Albert Lea, MN 56007 in the Albert Lea Room across from WIC from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Evening classes are held at the Albert Lea Medical Center, 404 W. Fountain St., Albert Lea, MN 56007 in Room 20 down in the basement of the hospital next to the cafeteria from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Breastfeeding Consultation
If you have any concerns regarding breastfeeding following the birth of your baby you can contact Sue Yost, Certified Lactation Educator. Sue will provide counseling over the phone and/or can provide a one-on-one consultation with you to help your family be successful with your breastfeeding experience.
