Freeborn County Public Health and Mayo Clinic Health System Albert Lea nurses have teamed up to provide childbirth education to young adults in our community. The two weekly sessions are generally three hours long and include information on these topics:

• Pregnancy
• Labor and delivery, with tour of the Baby Place
• Coaches’ role in labor and delivery
• Pain relief options during labor and doctor talk
• Breathing/comfort techniques
• Postpartum (after you have baby) care
• Newborn care
• Breastfeeding
