Mental Health Center

Services

Freeborn County Mental Health Center provides caring, empathetic, and responsive mental health services to Freeborn County residents. Freeborn County Mental Health Center is a county-based mental health center which is charged with ensuring that mental health services are delivered to the residents of the county. Due to our responsibility to ensure mental health services are provided to residents within the county we offer short wait times for initial appointments, are responsive to the individual needs of the people we serve, and work diligently to eliminate obstacles to services such as financial and transportation barriers.

These include:

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Psychological evaluations
  • Psychiatric evaluations
  • Medication management

Mental health concerns are extremely common. Individuals struggling with mental health concerns are the people sitting next to you at sporting events, the people you see at the grocery store, our neighbors, and our friends. One in 4 people are living with a mental health challenge and approximately 450 million people worldwide are impacted by mental health concerns. Since mental health concerns can impact people of all backgrounds and socioeconomic levels including teachers, doctors, managers, retail sales employees, cashiers, and farmers we provide services to people of all backgrounds at the Freeborn County Mental Health Center. The psychiatry and therapy we provide at the Freeborn County Mental Health Center are available to all county residents.

These services are provided for both children and adults. We also provide consultation on mental health issues to other agencies in the community and educational services to the community.

Fee Policy

Mental Health Center is a provider for a number of health insurers including Medical Assistance, Medicare, Minnesota Care, South Country Health Alliance, Blue Cross, Medica, and Preferred One. We also offer a sliding fee schedule based on income and family size for residents of Freeborn County who do not have health insurance. We work hard to make sure financial circumstances are not a barrier to receiving services.
