ISD 242 (Alden-Conger) Special Election
ISD 242 (Alden-Conger Public Schools) will be holding a special election on November 7, 2023
Absentee Voting by Mail
Absentee ballots are available 46 days prior to the ISD 242 (Alden-Conger Public Schools) Special Election beginning September 22, 2023. A completed and signed absentee ballot application (PDF) must be received before a ballot can be issued to a voter. Completed applications can be returned by mail, e-mail or fax.
You may also request an application be sent to you by mail by contacting Freeborn County Elections at 507-377-5121 or email@example.com.
Completed absentee ballots must be returned to the Elections Office no later than 8:00 pm on Election Day, November 7, 2023, in order to be counted.
To comply with USPS (post office) processing deadlines:
- For applications received prior to 12:00 pm, ballots will be mailed the same day.
- For applications received after 12:00 pm, ballots will be mailed the next business day.
Absentee Voting in Person
Voters may vote absentee ballot in person during the 46-day absentee period at the Freeborn County Auditor-Treasurer Office, 411 South Broadway, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
In person absentee voting hours are:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday September 22, 2023 to November 6, 2023
- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Saturday, November 4, 2023
Because the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office is a polling place location for absentee voting, we ask your cooperation in not campaigning within 100 feet of or in the Government Center Building according to MN Statutes 211B.11 subd. 1. Campaigning is to display campaign material, post signs, ask, solicit, or in any manner try to induce or persuade a voter.
