1. The Freeborn County Driver and Vehicle Services will be re-opening to the public on January 11, 2021 from 8 am to 430 pm
    BY APPOINTMENT ONLY



    Appointments are required to limit the number of customers gathering at one time.  All customers are urged to continue to utilize the drop box in the rear Government Center lobby or mailing in paperwork for tab renewals and limited title work


    Please call the License Center by phone at 377-5126 or email Susan Wagner or Brenda Jensen for appointments and inquiries as to services. 
    Due to limited staff, we may not be able to answer your phone call immediately.

    All other Freeborn County buildings and facilities continue to be closed to the public including the Freeborn County Government Center, Freeborn County Human Services, Freeborn County Fairgrounds and the Freeborn County Highway Department.

    We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.


    Be assured, while the buildings will be closed to the public, normal county services and operations will continue to be provided to the community on the same schedule, through both phone and email. Many offices have made arrangements to provide alternative options for services.  Most services can also be done online if necessary and citizens are encouraged to explore those options

    A drop box has been placed in the law enforcement lobby to allow document drop offs for all offices to continue to receive and process real estate documents, tax payments.

    The County Emergency Operations Center will continue to update the community’s level(s) of response as the pandemic evolves.   



     

    All Government Center access is through the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) entrance only (Corner of College St and Newton Av.  Parking available in northeast lot.)

    Each visitor will be asked screening questions

    All visitors will be required to wear masks
