The Freeborn County Commissioners, in cooperation with Diamond Jo Casino, are pleased to announce the 2022 - Freeborn County Commissioners Scholarship Program.
The Commissioners will be awarding 10 scholarships, in the amount of $500 each, to a minimum of two students from Alden-Conger High School, two students from Glenville-Emmons High School and four students from Albert Lea High School. The two remaining scholarship awards will be determined by the scholarship committee based on all the applications received.
To qualify for this Scholarship Program an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Reside in Freeborn County and a citizen/permanent resident of the United States.
- Graduating in the spring of 2022.
- Submission of a fully completed scholarship application prior to 5:00 p.m. on April 1, 2022.
The scholarships are education awards to be used for college education and expenses at any accredited college, university, community college, technical or trade school.

Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on April 1, 2022 and scholarship winners will be notified on or before April 22, 2022. Scholarship winners and their families will be invited to attend the Board of Commissioners meeting on May 17, 2022 at which time they will be recognized for their accomplishment.
