[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Freeborn County Auditor Treasurer’s Office is currently providing absentee voting services at the Freeborn County Government Center, 411 Broadway Avenue South, Albert Lea, MN 56007, for the November 5, 2019 School District 2886 Special Election.

You can request, receive and cast an absentee ballot in one visit to the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office:

  • From September 20, 2019 to November 4, 2019 during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

  • Saturday, November 2, 2019 – 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

You can request an absentee ballot if you are not currently registered to vote – proper identification and a voter registration application is required to be completed by the new registrants before the ballot will be issued to them.

Because the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office is a polling place location for absentee voting, we ask your cooperation in not campaigning within 100 feet of or in the Government Center Building according to MN Statutes 211B.11 subd. 1 Campaigning is to display campaign material, post signs, ask, solicit, or in any manner try to induce or persuade a voter.

For more information or questions contact the Freeborn County Auditor-Treasurer’s Office at 507/377-5121.

    Pat Martinson
